Disney’s Stitch: Everyone’s Favorite Blue Troublemaker

June 26th is a big day for Disney fans! It’s officially Stitch Day - celebrating everyone’s favorite blue troublemaker and captain of chaos, Experiment 626.

What I love about Stitch is that he isn’t perfect—and that’s exactly the point. He’s mischievous, messy, curious, and always getting into trouble. But underneath all that energy is a sweetheart that just wants to find love, family, and a place to belong. Just like the rest of us!

That alien personality and human relatability, combined with his quirky expressions, playful nature and slightly offbeat spirit makes Stitch a great inspiration for my art. He’s outlandish, mischievous, vulnerable and for me a great reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be staged and serious. It can be fun!

And between you and me, Stitch is even more special because my granddaughters love him. He’s their favorite Disney character. I get extra points at home for every new Stitch design I create. Nothing like a little extra incentive!

So happy Stitch Day everyone! Go out and have some fun… and maybe get into just a little bit of trouble.
