Happy Graduation, Gracie!
Every family reaches milestones that make you stop for a minute and wonder where all the time went. We're having one of those moments now as another granddaughter heads off to college.
And before anyone asks—no, she's not my favorite. They're all my favorites! That's one of the wonderful things about grandchildren. Somehow your heart just keeps making room.
Still, watching her drive away brings a lump to my throat. It seems like yesterday she was a little girl with endless questions, big dreams, and enough energy to keep the whole family smiling.
I've noticed that moments like these have found their way into my artwork over the years. When I was younger, I thought I was carving figures and painting scenes. Now I realize I've really been trying to preserve feelings—the warmth of family, the comfort of old traditions, and those fleeting moments we wish we could hold onto just a little longer.
Maybe that's why my work means even more to me these days. Every new design is a small thank-you to the people and memories that have shaped my life.
Our granddaughter is beginning a wonderful new adventure, and we couldn't be prouder. I'll miss having her close, but I know every ending is also a beginning. And if I've learned anything, it's that the sweetest memories never really fade—they simply become part of the stories we carry with us.
God Bless,
