Jim Shore's Easter Bunny train

Hoppy Easter!

I love Spring! Around here flowers are blooming and the temperature’s warming up. The days are stretching out a little longer and you can feel the energy shift. Kids are back outside, riding bikes, inventing adventures, and whispering about what the Easter Bunny might bring. There’s a sense of anticipation in the air that’s hard to beat.

For our family, Easter means everyone coming together. We host a big chaotic gathering with kids, grandkids, and usually a few extra friends mixed in for good measure. When you’ve got a dozen or so grandkids racing across the yard for an egg hunt, it’s less of a stroll and more of a full-blown event. There’s laughter, a little friendly competition, and always one or two eggs that don’t turn up until July. Inside, the kitchen is busy too. I cook a ham while everyone else is busy prepping sides and desserts. After dinner we linger around the table long after the plates are cleared, enjoying being together.

Of course, there’s more to Spring than flowers, chocolate bunnies, and wonderful times with family. Easter is a time of hope, of promises fulfilled and redemption of the spirit. It invites both quiet reflection and joyful celebration.

Our wish, from my family to yours, is that you experience all the joys of Spring, that you’re renewed in hope and sustained in faith this Easter, and in all the seasons to come.

God Bless,
