One of the best things about my job is talking to people I meet in person and online about their Disney favorites, hearing their requests and sharing ideas about new designs. And it’s always a great conversation; there’s a lot to be excited about! From the timeless magic of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King to fan-favorites like Disney’s Frozen, Tangled, and Mulan. And there’s always those nostalgic classics like Disney’s Robin Hood, The Aristocats, and The Jungle Book. It starts with a smile and usually involves a quote, a scene, or a song we all know by heart. It’s always fun and it keeps me energized.

And it makes sharing new designs this time of year all the more rewarding. Here’s a look at a few, these will all be formally introduced in a few weeks. Disney’s Hercules and Megara vase is one of my new favorites, a classic design that captures the hero’s bold spirit and the special relationship they share. And speaking of romance, I love the new Disney’s Aladdin and Jasmine design that takes them soaring on a magic carpet—a scene filled with movement, imagination, and that sense of wonder that makes me want to sing “A Whole New World” every time I see it.

For fans of whimsical mischief, there’s a new Mad Hatter from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. He’s one of Disney’s most fun and eccentric characters; I think this piece gets his personality just right. And for those of us who love the classics there’s Disney’s Snow White with the Witch and Poisoned Apple.

These are just a few highlights from a much bigger collection we’ve been working on. There’s more on the way—more characters, more stories, and more magic.
