National M&M’S® Day
Today, October 13th, is National M&M’S Day! And just so you know, M&M'S are my go-to chocolate candy. First introduced in 1941, these colorful treats have over the years become a global favorite. And not just for their taste. The characters behind each candy color have taken on lives of their own, turning a simple snack into a cast of lovable personalities. And given my love for chocolate (and color!), they’ve become a favorite subject for my art.
Here’s the cast of characters as I understand them. M&M’S Red Character is the confident, slightly sarcastic leader of the bunch—always quick with a witty remark. M&M’S Yellow Character, the peanut M&M, is cheerful, good-natured, and a little goofy. M&M’S Green Character is cool, confident, and a little flirty, while M&M’S Blue Character has a laid-back, smooth personality that’s effortlessly likable. M&M’S Orange Character tends to be nervous and high-strung and M&M’S Brown Character, is smart, sophisticated, and no-nonsense. They’re all fun to work with and play with in my art. And they all taste great!
Together, they make M&M’S more than just candy—they’re a miniature ensemble cast that brings smiles while delivering chocolatey goodness. It’s a combination that’s hard to beat! So happy M&M’S Day everyone! Enjoy!
God Bless,
