The Magic Of Oz
Like so many people, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for The Wizard of Oz. It’s one of those rare films that seems to grow with you—offering something new each time you watch. There’s the unforgettable songs, colorful characters, and that sweeping story of courage, friendship, and finding your way. Judy Garland’s Dorothy, the Wicked Witch, flying monkeys, Glinda, the Yellow Brick Road—it’s all a part of our shared memory.
But what inspired my Wizard of Oz collection isn’t just the movie itself. It’s the experience of watching it—year after year—with people I love. I can remember when it used to air once a year on TV, and it was a big event in our house. We’d plan for it. Popcorn, pillows on the floor, everyone claiming their favorite seat. It wasn’t just entertainment—it was tradition. A shared moment that brought us together.
I still remember my brothers and I reenacting scenes and quoting lines—usually with a little too much enthusiasm. My mom especially loved the Lollipop Guild number, always saying it reminded her of raising three boys. And as time went on, I got to pass that tradition down—watching with my own kids, seeing their reactions, hearing them sing the same songs I once did.
That’s what this collection is about for me. Not just the magic of Oz, but the magic of those moments—those shared memories that live on in the heart. Because when it comes down to it, there really is no place like home
God Bless,
