I can get pretty misty-eyed when it comes to Disney’s Winnie the Pooh. Just the name brings back wonderful memories of afternoons filled with laughter and imagination, following the gentle adventures of a stuffed bear and his loyal friend Piglet. Those stories weren’t just entertaining—they quietly taught us about friendship, kindness, courage, and the simple joy of being yourself. Somehow, Winnie the Pooh managed to share important life lessons without ever feeling like he was trying too hard.

Over the past 100 years, Winnie the Pooh has become part of our shared cultural language. His sayings are quoted, his characters are instantly recognizable, and his outlook on life still resonates. Winnie the Pooh reflects the values we admire and the struggles we all face—self-doubt, loyalty, love, and finding happiness in small moments. That’s a big reason he’s stood the test of time. Winnie the Pooh is just as beloved today as he was when many of us were kids, now being discovered and cherished by new generations.

Marking the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh feels especially meaningful to me. It’s truly an honor to have my art connected to a character with such a rich legacy and emotional connection. Being part of a tradition that has brought comfort and joy to so many people is something I’m very proud of. Like I say, I can get pretty misty thinking about it.
